Bárbara Rey recalls her difficult time with Encarna Sánchez: "Now people would call it harassment."

Bárbara Rey has appeared on ¡De viernes! after the publication of Yo, Bárbara , the memoirs in which she collects Some of the episodes that have most affected her throughout her life. Among the topics discussed on set, the starlet recalled the difficult time she endured due to Encarna Sánchez's obsession with her.
"I don't know if the fact that I went to two of her interviews made her obsessed with me, because she was a very attractive 28-year-old," Bárbara Rey said on the Telecinco program. According to the starlet , Encarna Sánchez "had a reserved box on stage" and went to see her "many times."
"Nowadays it would be harassment, but it was very discreet," Rey commented, explaining that the journalist was "constantly" calling her, inviting her to lunch and to her radio show. "Now people would call it harassment, but I'm not that extreme," she added.
The starlet explained that Sánchez "was insistent to the extreme" and when she married Ángel Cristo, she paid "dearly for it." "An article in Semana was devastating. It said I was a person who didn't know what I wanted, that I was a despicable person, that I had married this man because I didn't know if I liked women," she recalled.
But there was something that truly saddened her when she separated from the trainer. "She knows I left because of the mistreatment, and she started defending Ángel Cristo. It even got to the point of attacking me," Bárbara Rey commented.
According to the artist, the journalist "took advantage of the radio" to attack her and say "absurd things" about her. One day, she spoke to her and showed her recordings that showed Ángel Cristo's attitude toward her and her children. "He continued to talk trash about me after hearing what he had heard," Bárbara added.
Sofía Cristo 's mother commented that they had to shorten many things in the book, because otherwise it would be too long, and she reflected after telling her story with Encarna Sánchez: "I have the feeling that if I had liked the woman, my life would have been calmer and more rewarding."
